Currently Night Editor at Kidspot and formerly senior lifestyle writer at Mamamia, Laura is passionate about telling interesting stories.
Her articles and personal opinion pieces cut through the noise and connect with thousands of women across Australia each day. She has created viral content for Kidspot and Mamamia and spoken as a guest on many podcasts including, The Quicky, This Glorious Mess, Me After You and The 456 Club.
As an experienced digital media professional, Laura has interviewed hundreds of people including internationally renowned celebrities such as Celeste Barber, Australian of the Year Taryn Brumfitt, and author Dr Norman Swan.
Laura currently co-hosts The Change podcast with fellow ex-Mamamia writer, Cathy O'Brien. The Change is about to launch its third season with a selection of brilliant guests and a focus on womens' experiences in midlife.
For three years Laura was one-half of the Oversubscribed podcast duo, where she researched, scripted and hosted two episodes per week. She hosted live events in front of hundreds of women while raising money for charity.
As a tutor at the University of Newcastle, Laura worked with communications undergraduates to help them improve their writing and media skills.
She has over 15 years of experience as a freelance writer for media outlets and had been published by The Sydney Morning Herald, The Telegraph, The Guardian and The Newcastle Herald.
Laura is a mother of two boys and a ginger cat named Duke.
